Alert : Fake Cloned Investment Websites

Updated on 8 October 2025.

Fake Cloned Investment Websites

Scammers replicate legitimate financial or investment websites to deceive users. These fake pages, almost identical to the originals, steal personal data or deposits that vanish instantly.

Fraudulent Investment Platforms

Fraudsters copy the branding and communication style of real brokers, banks or trading platforms. Victims believe they are dealing with an official service and invest their money without suspicion.

How it works

A link is sent via email, online ads, or social media. The cloned site mimics logos, layouts and even domain names similar to the original. After opening an account or sending a first transfer, funds are immediately stolen.
Signs: slightly altered web address, missing legal information, or contact only via unverifiable numbers.

Tips:

  • 🔍 Always double-check the exact URL before registering.
  • ⚠️ Be wary of guaranteed or unrealistic returns.
  • 📞 Confirm offers directly through the company’s official channels.
  • 🚫 Never transfer money to bank accounts not linked to the real firm.
  • 📢 Report suspicious sites to the authorities.

Conclusion

Only trust platforms after verifying their official address. If in doubt, report scams via actionfraud.police.uk and check the warnings published by financial regulators.
